22 year old Army Sergeant Charles Webb of Hamilton died on November 3, 2004 after being wounded by a roadside bomb. The explosion happened near an Army patrol southwest of Bagdad.

Sergeant Webb graduated from Hamilton High School in 2000. He was based in Germany with the 82nd Engineering Battalion. He was married.
 
Sergeant Webb received the Purple Heart earlier in 2004 for wounds he received in another bombing.
