25 year old Army Sergeant Benjamin Moore of Hamilton died on February 21, 2003 during a training exercise in Fort Hood, Texas.

Army officials said Sergeant Benjamin Moore was setting up targets for a time rifle training mission when one of the soliders M-16 rifles fired accidentally, hitting Moore in the back.  

Sgt. Moore left behind a wife and daughter, who was only two months old at the time of his death.

Moore was a native of Hamilton and was a former Miami University wrestler.
