24 year old Private Anthony Vinnedge of Okeana died July 5, 2007 while serving in Iraq.
Vinnedge was on his second tour of duty and was just a week awawy from coming home.
He graduated from Talawanda High School in 2001 where he was on the cross country team and prom court and was voted "most talkative."
Friends say Vinnedge planned to go back to school at Miami University once he returned home.
