20 year Lance Corporal Taylor Prazynski was killed on May 9, 2005, by a homemade bomb while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Al Karmah, Iraq.
Prazynski graduated from Fairfield High School in 2003, where he ran track and played football. Family members say that after his time in the Marines he wanted to return to Fairfield and become a special education teacher.
Prazynski is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
