21 year old Nicholas Erdy of Owensville died May 11, 2005 when his armored vehicle hit a roadside bomb in Ubaydi, Iraq.
The Lance Corporal graduated from McNicholas High school and was a linebacker on the football team.
Erdy was engaged to be married to his high school sweetheart. His family continues to honor his memory through a college scholarship fund they created.
