22 year old Lance Corporal Justin Sims of Covington died on April 15, 2006 when a rocket propelled grenade in the Al-Anbar province of Iraq.
Sims was a 2003 graduate of Holmes High School where he was a member of the ROTC program. His family tells us he was happy and took great pride in serving our country. Sims joined the Marines after graduation. This was Sims second tour in Iraq.
He left behind a wife.
