21 year old Corporal Timothy Roos of Delhi was killed on July 27, 2006 by a roadside bomb.
Roos was on his second tour of duty and was scheduled to come home 2 months after his death. Roos never met his daughter Annaliese, who was born 2 weeks before his death.
He came from a military family and always wanted to be a Marine. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
Roose is buried at Saint Joseph Cemetery.
