Marine Capt. Warren A. Frank, 26, of Maineville, Ohio, died November 25, 2008 while supporting combat operations in Ninewa province, Iraq.

Sources say Frank was distributing humanitarian aid when he was shot by an insurgent dressed in an Iraqi police uniform.

Frank was a 2000 graduate of Turpin High School and a 2004 graduate of the Citadel.  He was assigned to the 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liasion Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan.
 
He was on his second tour of duty in Iraq. Captain Frank had earned the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon and National Defense Service Medals, to name a few.
