One more thing......as a child we never vacationed overnight anyplace, and didn't know any different. On Sundays during the summer we would travel, mom, dad and 6 kids, to Butler Park for swimming in the lake and picnicking with relatives. Other Sundays we would travel to Frankfort, Columbus, Dayton, and places in Indiana. Mom always packed lunch and we had tailgate picnics at a roadside park. I never knew what the ocean looked like till I was 21 or so when with a friend of mine we traveled to Myrtle Beach for one night unfortunately. We arrived there around 9 PM, got our motel, changed into our suits and jumped into the ocean only to get stung by a jelly fish right off. I thought a shark took a big hunk out of my leg. Take me back to Old Coney any ole day.

I absolutely loved Old Coney.....remember going there as a child, then later taking my own child. It was everything and more....even up to the last years I've been there. Sunlight Pool was awesome.....none other like it. When I find some of my ole pictures, I will send them on. Thanks for bringing back wonderful memories.
