I also was a baton twirler for the Royals, we were called the "Sophisticates". Wonderful memories . We were their half-time from their earlier beginnings. I'll never forget how popular I suddenly became because I got "on floor seats" for the games and wow........did the boyfriends begin to line up! It was truly an awesome experience being a small part of all that. Just think of the awesome players thatI got to meet. I really liked Lucas! Janis Cassiere

does anyone else remember; in a glass case, in the walk area just inside the main doors, there were Cincinnati Royals "things", as I remember, a jersey, and Oscar Robinson's shoe. To me, at about age 7 or so, the shoe was almost as big as a small boat. Old Mother Hubbard could have "gone condo" in his shoe.

I graduated from Glen Este High School in 1971, and was on their drill team from '68 to '71. We used to do halftime shows for the Royals with our rifle twirling and stuff and I have fond memories from those days. My dad used to love watching them on TV. I wonder if there's any halftime show photo's?? LOL
