With election day near, we will interview the last few candidates for Cincinnati City council, and focus on a county wide tax levy proposal.
We begin with three non-incumbent candidates for council.
Mitch Painter, a first time candidate for public office, running as an Independent. He is a real estate developer who lives in Clifton. Painter owns Keystone Properties & Investments which buys older properties, improves and resells them.
Wendell Young is an endorsed Democrat making his second run for city council. Young served as a Cincinnati Police officer for 25 years, during which time he served as president of the Sentinels and as president of the NAACP. Currently, Young teaches at Aiken High School.
And Greg Harris, an endorsed Democrat, making his first run for city council, but in 2005 he ran for for Congress against Steve Chabot.
Harris currently works as a program officer for Knowledge Works foundation, Ohio's largest educational philanthropy.
