It has been a little over five months since James Craig was sworn is as Chief of Police in Cincinnati, enough time to size things up and begin making changes that show up on on the streets. James Craig has been Chief of Police in Cincinnati for five months, and with the announcement this past week about redeployment of certain officers, we are beginning to see substantive changes.
In these early months, Chief Craig has been everywhere, talking to citizens, learning local customs and getting involved in community organizations. Dan was joined for the entire show by Chief Craig.
The chief started his career in Detroit where he grew up, and spent 28 years with the Los Angeles Police Department. After retiring, he became the Chief of Police in Portland, Maine for two years before accepting command of the Cincinnati Police Department last August.
