Raising CAIN's National Make A Different Day Weekend is October 19 - 23rd. The group "Churches Active in Northside" is taking part in the nationwide effort.
Raising CAIN serves more than 400 families in Northside. The families rely on food donations, help with rent and other utility bills, access to federal services, and more.
Residents are hosting nearly 20 parties during which communities plan events, parties, and other activities to will help people in need. Vice Mayor Roxanne Qualls issued a proclamation for the weekend.
Our own Local 12 News anchor Rob Braun serves as an honorary chair for the weekend.
