A groundbreaking ceremony happened this morning for the Sharonville Convention Center.
Plans to expand and renovate cost some $ 32 million but will double the size. Some of the added features include a new exhibit hall, ballroom and more meeting space.
Work should be complete by 2011. The money for the expansion comes from the hotel tax. Convention officials say the demand is there, they just haven't had the money to expand and fill the demand-until now.
