At least they are willing to put you through the training required to do the job. You have to pass a test and get licensed by the Casino Control Commission to be able to do the job. They could charge people for the training, instead they will put qualified applicants through the training in hopes that they will pass the test and be qualified to be hired. They are putting their time and energy into getting people trained rather than just bringing in dealers from other sights. I would think that that would be a great incentive, along with the fact that dealers can make good money if they are good at their job. It seems that people on here just look for something to criticize rather than just be grateful there are more jobs becoming available here in Cincinnati.

Based on the sheer number of people who applied for the other casino, seems that there are plenty of people who will jump at this opportunity. No, they don't pay you to train...likely because they have a high turnover rate to find someone who is capable of keeping up and doing simple math in their heads. I don't frequent casino's and don't see that changing, nor will I judge others for their decision to do so, I am just glad some people will be put to work.

Baloney - this place is going to be inundated with WORKERS...not 'system cheats'! Y'all think the only jobless folks out there are the lazy ones, except when you want to harp about the folks who are out of work due to 'politidcal policies'. Heck, alot of you want fellow AMERICANS thrown out of their jobs because they are union, 'over-paid', red-haired whatever. But when a chance comes along to employ a whole bunch of folks who have probably been looking for a long time, you pshaw that, too. Just remember - quite a few folks lost their jobs because of the 'trickle up' theory. The 'workers' jobs were shipped over-wherever, so who needed fore-persons or supervisors, if there are no fore-persons or supervisors, who needs managers, if there are none of the previously listed, who needs HR fols, book-keeping, folks, payroll, folks and on up the ladder? There are alot of these folks out there just waiting to be given an opportunity...I just hope the casino isn't going to be following the 'only the EMPLOYED need apply' specifications that you see in so many ads! Good Luck to all who join this fray back to being an employed American!

If all people are doing is sitting on the couch or walking the streets without success, better their time be spent taking some classes on dealing cards. You don't get paid for going to college, either. And these days, there is no guaranty that going to college will net you a job. True, if you have a felony on your record or drugs in your system, you're wasting your time...what's the problem with that? Is it wrong for a business to want people who are willing to put forth the effort? I don't quite understand why all the grumbling here, folks?!?

They'll get the exact type of employees they deserve.....you never paid us while we trained will affect their work performance the whole time they choose to stay an employee....what's wrong with these businesses? I just don't get it anymore........idiots full of greed...calling it an opportunity.....more like servants making you millions.....I bet the benefits suck....did you notice, not even a mention of pay rate or benefits?

I think that assisting the casino in ripping off money from weak minded people would be depressing.
