The highly anticipated Nordstrom store opens at the Kenwood Towne Mall today. The 138,000 square foot store throws open its doors at 10 a.m.
The store has been several years in the making and brought 250 jobs to the area. Devoted fans tout it's wide variety of prices and its huge selection make it. For instance, Nordstrom boost more than 1600 shades of lipstick and 900 handbags. It's also known for its shoes.
Some fans are tailgating before the opening this morning. Store developers say they chose to build in the Kenwood Mall because it is the most popular shopping destination in the city.
