There will be several H1N1 clinics this week. The clinics in the city of Cincinnati offer only the nasal mist.
The clinic at the Price Hill Health Center runs until 3 p.m. today.
On Wednesday there are clinics at the Braxton Cann Health Center in Madisonville and the Northside Health Center.
On Thursday there is a clinic at the Elm Street Health Center in Over the Rhine and on Friday there will be one at the Millvale Health Center.
Butler County is also holding a free H1N1 nasal mist vaccination clinic. It will be at the Princeton Pike Church of God at 6101 Princeton Glendale Road in Liberty Township on Thursday from 4 p.m. Until 8 p.m. You'll need to pre-register at
http://www.flu.ohio.gov.
The H1N1 nasal mist is meant for people ages 2-49 who live with or care for infants younger than 6 months of age, who are health care and emergency medical personnel or anyone from 2 years through 24 years of age without chronic health conditions.
Warren County Combined Health District will be administering the H1N1 injectable vaccine to children six months of age through 35 months of age AND children 36 months of age through 18 years of age with chronic illnesses on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Springboro Jr. High School located at 1605 S. Main St., Springboro. There will be no charge for the vaccine.
The following individuals are eligible to receive the H1N1 injectable vaccine at this time: *Children from 6 months of age through 35 months of age without a chronic illness AND · Children 6 months of age through 18 years of age with a chronic illness.
Chronic illness examples are: · Pulmonary including Asthma · Cardiovascular except hypertension · Renal · Hepatic · Cognitive · Neurological/Neuromuscular · Hematologic · Metabolic disorders including diabetes mellitus · Immunosuppression including immunospression caused by medications or caused by HIV.
In order to receive the vaccination from the health department your child will need proof of their chronic illness. Some examples of proof are script/note from a physician, medication with the child's name on the label, medical record, or bill with documentation of illness.
