8th Annual Bengals Blood Drive

Your blood donations are needed more than ever this year at the 8th Annual Bengals Blood Drive at Paul Brown Stadium today.

Local 12's Liz Bonis explains why in today's Medical Edge.

It's been a busy day here at Paul Brown Stadium.

They are shooting for 700 donors, but it's especially important, because donors are down right now, mainly because of the flu. You can't be a blood donor if you don't feel well.

So, Hoxworth Blood Centers say, especially at the high school and college drives, donations have been down and the need is up, partly perhaps, because people worried about health insurance after next year, Hoxworths says, are scheduling elective surgeries between now and the end of the year.

Now, we did see some famous faces today, some of the players and Marvin Lewis came out.

Now, if you can't get out today, you can donate all week as part of Bengals week.

You only get the football today, but you can get a t-shirt all week. Just call 513-451-0910 to make an appointment at any Hoxworth center.

You can still come down here until 7pm tonight.

At Paul Brown Stadium, Liz Bonis, Local 12.
