CINCINNATI --- Xavier University sophomore guard Jordan Crawford has earned Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week honors. Crawford averaged 25.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.0 steals and had no turnovers in two wins this past week, while shooting 69.0 percent from the field, including 72.7 percent from three-point range.
Crawford scored a then-career high 24 points in a win over Bowling Green on Tuesday and followed that up with a career high 26-point game against Sacred Heart on Saturday. Crawford leads Xavier in scoring at 21.3 ppg., while shooting 61.0 percent from the field.
Damian Saunders of Duquesne was also honored by the Atlantic 10 this week.
Xavier senior Jason Love also enjoyed a big week this past week. Love recorded back-to-back double-doubles this week, including a 14-point, career-high 15-rebound game on Saturday. Love leads XU in rebounding at 11.7 rpg. and is second in scoring at 12.7 ppg., while shooting 64.7 percent from the field.
Xavier, 3-0, plays its next game against Marquette at 2 p.m. on Thursday in the first round of the Old Spice Classic in Orlando, Fla.
