CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati kicker Tony Miliano (North Bend, Ohio/Elder) was named the BIG EAST Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 9, 2012, the league office announced Monday.

DB Camerron Cheatham (Kalamazoo, Mich./Central) and RB George Winn (Southfield, Mich./UD Jesuit) both earned spots on the conference’s weekly honor roll following the Bearcats’ 51-14 win over Miami (Ohio) in front of a sold-out homecoming crowd at historic Nippert Stadium.

Miliano scored 10 points as part of the Bearcats’ BIG EAST-leading seventh straight win, UC’s seventh-straight victory against the RedHawks. He scored six points in the first half, with a field goal and three PATs, to help the Bearcats take a 24-6 lead into halftime.

Chetham scored a touchdown on a 68-yard interception return in the first quarter, turning the tide of the game and giving UC its first points of the day.

Winn rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries, his second 100-yard rushing game of the season and his career.

The No. 21/20 Bearcats (4-0) return to action Saturday against Fordham at 7 p.m.
