(GREENVILLE, Pa.) - Thomas More College junior point guard D'Carlo Hayes (Louisville, Ky./Male) has been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week by the PAC office.
Hayes helped the Saints extend their winning streak to nine games last week by averaging 19.5 points per game, 2.5 rebounds per game and 2.0 assists per game. He shot 50 percent (nine-of-18) from the field in the Saints' two victories, including 40 percent (four-of-10) from behind the three-point arc. In the Saints' win over Geneva College he totaled 16 points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal and then went for a game-high 23 points to go along with three assists, two rebounds and a steal in the team's win over Washington & Jefferson College. He also converted on 12-of-16 free-throw attempts. Hayes currently leads the Saints in scoring average (12.3 ppg) and steals (2.0 spg).
Hayes and the rest of the PAC-leading Saints return to action on Wednesday (February 6) when they travel to New Wilmington, Pennsylvania to play Westminster College at 8 p.m.
