CINCINNATI (AP) - In Brian Kelly's first season, overlooked
Cincinnati matched the school record with 10 wins. A year later,
the Bearcats won 11 games and their first Big East title. Now,
they're ranked No. 4 and one victory away from tying the best start
in school history.
So much has happened so fast that even the players have a hard
time wrapping their minds around it. Quarterback Zach Collaros said
Tuesday that "it's crazy to think about" how far the Bearcats
(8-0) have come in less than three years.
Cincinnati can take another momentous step on Saturday by
beating Connecticut (4-4) and matching the 1951 team for best start
in school history.
