College of Mount St. Joseph football Head Coach Rod Huber has been named HCAC Coach of the Year and Lions' junior linebacker Erik Prosser (Cincinnati, OH/Oak Hills) has been named HCAC Defensive Player of the Year. Huber garnered conference Coach of the Year honors for the third time while Prosser won his award for the first time. The Mount had 11 players, including Prosser, named First Team All-HCAC, while three Lions' players were named Second Team All-HCAC and one Mount player was selected Honorable Mention All-Conference.
Others on the first team were: junior running back Noah Joseph (Roswell, GA/Blessed Trinity), junior wide receiver Derick Tabar (Cincinnati, OH/Colerain), senior offensive lineman Anthony Walsh (Cincinnati, OH/Moeller), sophomore offensive lineman Joe Noble (Cincinnati, OH/Colerain), senior defensive lineman Alex Harbin (Cincinnati, OH/Elder), sophomore defensive lineman Brett Hambrick (Cincinnati, OH/Elder), junior defensive linemna Rob Fox (Cincinnati, OH/Colerain), senior defensive back Ryan Smithmeyer (Cincinnati, OH/Elder), freshman defensive back Jerrick Boykin (Cincinnati, OH/Glen Este), and junior kick Brian Weimer (Cincinnati, OH/Oak Hills).
Lions' players on second team were: junior quarterback Craig Mustard (Mason, OH/Mason), senior wide receiver Jeremy Brinck (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) and senior linebacker Vince Smith (Middletown, OH/Middletown).
Senior defensive back David Davis (Longwood, FL/Lake Mary) was selected Honorable Mention.
