LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Rashawn Coston scored 23 points as Holmes held off Pleasure Ridge Park 65-60 in the first round of the Kentucky boys' Sweet 16 basketball tournament Wednesday.
   
The Bulldogs (32-2) never trailed, but their largest margin was 10 points, near the middle of the second quarter.
   
Pleasure Ridge Park (25-8) was within one possession of Holmes six times in the second half. The Bulldogs were 8-of-10 from the free-throw line in the final 1:09.
   
Holmes will play in the second round Friday against Madison Central, an 81-56 first-round winner Wednesday over Wayne County.
   
Coston set the pace early for the Bulldogs, the 9th Region champion, hitting his first three 3-point attempts.
   
Lamontray Harris had 20 points and 12 rebounds for the 6th Region champion Panthers. Chris Englemon countered with 10 points and 18 rebounds for Holmes.
