Cincinnati Reds manager Dusty Baker will have to remain in a Chicago hospital until tomorrow, according to the Reds.  Baker left a game last night and has been diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat.

He stayed in a Chicago hospital Wednesday night and will miss the Thursday game at Wrigley Field.

Reds GM Walt Jocketty visited Dusty this morning and says Dusty is feeling good but that the doctors want to monitor his progress for one more day. Dusty expects to return to Cincinnati tomorrow.

Reds.com is reporting Baker had a heavy feeling and wasn't breathing well Wednesday. He went to a Cubs' medical staffer to be checked out, from there Baker went to the hospital.

Baker is expected to rejoin the team on Friday at Great American Ballpark as they take on the Los Angeles Dodgers. Bench Coach Chris Speier is managing the team until then.

The Reds have closed the gap on the division title. The magic number is three after Drew Stubbs hit a tie-breaking RBI single in the 11th inning to win the game.

A good doctor should have Dusty on the mend in no time. My brother has lived with similar diagnosis for 10+ years. He still works out every day, hunts, fishes, has a lawncare business. GET A GOOD DOCTOR DUSTY! Best of luck with your health AND the Reds! HOWL........:)
