CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, announced this afternoon they have completed a trade with the Ontario Reign for forward Adam Heinrich.  In return, Cincinnati sends defenseman Jon Landry to the ‘AA’ affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings.

Henrich, 25, is in his sixth professional season, having spent last season with Wilkes Barre/Scranton (AHL) for 37 games where he registered three goals and eight assists for eleven points and 34 penalty minutes.  In Springfield’s (AHL) season opening win, he notched a goal and an assist versus Portland.  He already has four games in the AHL this year with a goal and an assist and 13 penalty minutes.  Adam appeared in eight games with Ontario and had five goals and four assists for nine points to rank 17th in the ECHL in scoring.

The six-foot-four, 225 pound native of Thornhill, ON, was originally drafted in the second round (number 60 overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning.  In 109 career ECHL games, Henrich has recorded 50 goals and 57 assists for 107 points and 256 penalty minutes.  He has also accumulated 31 multiple point games between Johnstown, Wheeling and Ontario.  Adam also has 192 games of experience at the AHL level, picking up 31 goals, 51 assists and 82 points with 277 penalty minutes.  He has nine multiple point games at the ‘AAA’ level.

Landry played in six games with the Cyclones, registering an assist and 13 penalty minutes to go with a -3 plus/minus rating.

In other Cyclones news, forward Justin White has been placed on waivers.

The Cyclones host Johnstown on a Thirsty Thursday (Nov. 5) at 7:30pm.  Friday night (Nov. 6), it is the annual Throwback Night—with the Cyclones wearing their original silver sheen jerseys from the first season (1990-91).  Saturday (Nov. 7), the home and home with Toledo comes to an end with a 7pm visit to the Lucas County Arena.  The broadcast of all three games will be carried on the club’s website at: www.cycloneshockey.com.
