CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - The Charlotte Bobcats have addressed their frontcourt needs by selecting Derrick Brown of Xavier in the second round of the draft.
The 6-foot-8 Brown averaged 13.7 points and 6.1 rebounds as a junior with the Musketeers last season.
The Bobcats used the 40th pick on Brown Thursday after deciding earlier this week not to make a qualifying offer to impending free agent Sean May. That left the Bobcats thin in the frontcourt.
