The Bengals today signed DT Brandon Thompson of Clemson, a third-round selection in the 2012 draft. Thompson (6-2, 320) played four seasons (2008-11) at Clemson, seeing action in 53 games, and he started 37 games over his final three seasons. He totaled 208 tackles and 22.5 tackles-for-loss, and his 35 bench presses at 225 pounds marked one of the dominant weight performances at the 2012 Scouting Combine.
Thompson’s signing leaves all 10 Bengals choices in the 2012 draft under contract.
