This is the time of year we spend a lot of time in the kitchen. And of course kitchens clean up, cooking. This is the disposal that's underneath your sink. Most of us do. Now these guys can cause some problems for you when you're doing a little bit of cleanup. The first this is if you hear it just hum, nothings working. You can actually get under the cabinet. Look at the disposal and what you're going to find, is you're going to find a little reset button. There's a good chance that that's just popped off and you can simply press in and reset it. Another thing if it's humming and you reset, what may happen is the blades inside the disposal have actually gotten jammed. If that's the case, there's a little port right here. You can take this jam wrench, stick it in there and manually turn the blades inside the disposal, freeing it up. Again, you'll probably have to reset it. Sometimes these will actually create an odor too. And something you might do to remove that is a little disposal care. This is a very cool thing to use. You actually insert the entire package down into the disposal, turn it on, grinds it up and cleans it. One last thing, if it still has an odor, you might take this cap off, this is the splash guard. A lot of time bacteria can get caught underneath that. A good scrubbing with soap and water will take care of that problem.
