2# Ground Round
½# Maple Leaf Gouda Cheese, Shredded
½# Portabella Mushrooms, Small Dice
4 Ciabatta Bread Rolls, Slice in Half
4 Leafs of Lettuce
4 Tomato Slices
12 Onion Slices
¼ CRoasted Red Peppers, Small Dice
1 Shallots, Minced
TT Salt and Pepper
1-Mix the ground round, shredded Gouda, and the portabella mushrooms together in a mixing bowl until all ingredients are well incorporated. Refrigerate this mixture.
2-Place the mayonnaise, roasted red peppers, and shallots in a food processor and pulse until smooth.
3-Preheat your grill to medium or medium-high heat.
4-Take your burger mixture out portion to 8 ounces. Work as much air out of the meat as possible. Either use a burger press or your hands and flatten the meat to form patty shape.
5-Using a cooking spray coat one side of the burger and place on the grill. Cook until your preferred doneness is reached.
6-Slice a ciabatta loaf in half lengthwise and spread your roasted red pepper mayo on the top and or bottom and layer the lettuce, tomato, and onions.
7-Enjoy your burger!!
This recipe makes 4 Burgers.
