A Union Township man said his life has been forever changed after one punch.
Police said a man randomly attacked Donald Cahill at Rong Tan's Bistro and Lounge around 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 30.
He was rushed to the hospital with a broken neck."It's absolute torture and it involved putting my head in traction and which involved drilling into my skull on both sides, while you're awake mind you and then hanging 40 pounds of weights off of your head," said Cahill.
The blow knocked the 42-year-old man unconscious.
"The best way they describe it just one of these big haymaker punches and came up and just out of blue just punched me in the back of the neck, right where the skull meets the neck," according to Cahill.Cahill was on his way to the bathroom when the attack happened. He had to spend two weeks in the hospital after emergency surgery on a broken neck.
Police said the attack was unprovoked.
There are no leads on the suspect, but Cahill says the man had tattoos on his right forearm and some facial hair.
