A nun accused of voter fraud in Hamilton County today entered a guilty plea in court.  Prosecutors say Sister Marguerite Kloos was one of three people named in an indictment back in March for voting in the 2012 Presidential Election using the names of relatives or deceased Hamilton County residents or for voting more than one time using the same name.

54 year old Sister Marguerite Kloos was sentenced to a diversion program after entering her guilty plea in court on Tuesday, April 16th.  Once she has completed that program, her guilty plea and conviction will be wiped from the court records.

Kloos was accused of voter fraud for voting on behalf of a fellow nun who died before her absentee ballot had been mailed out by the Board of Elections. Kloos could have been sentenced to 18 months in jail.

Prosecutors are also charging 75 year old Russell Glossop with one count of illegal voting and 58 year old Melowese Richardson with eight counts of Illegal Voting.
Kloos, Glossop and Richardson did not know each other before their indictments.

Glossop allegedly voted on behalf of his deceased wife. Prosecutors say his wife had requested an absentee ballot but she died before the Hamilton County Board of Elections mailed out the absentee ballots. Glossop is charged with returning the ballot bearing her signature.

Richardson is a long time Hamilton County Poll worker and has worked for the Board of Elections since 1998. She allegedly voted twice using her own name and then voted several other times using the names of her relatives. She could go to jail for 12 years if convicted.

I wonder if religious folks can 'be born again' behind bars like other criminals do? Just asking.

How very sad! Another black eye for local Catholics to endure. It would have been a beautiful show of her commitment to Social "Justice" if she accepted the prison sentence. She did the crime - now do the time. As a former poll worker, I have seen just how uninformed some voters are. People who live in the county but are disappointed they can't vote for Cincinnati Mayor, people who don't know what county they live, and people wanting to vote for a third party candidate (Perot) in a primary election are prime examples. Companies are so proud when their employees volunteer at schools, soup kitchens, etc. Why not send them to the polls to work for a day.

dav, you are a loyal and pliable simpleton. Just what the democrats look for. Your handler would be proud! (That is, he would be if he didn't have so much contempt for people like you.)

The slap on the hand for the nun is ridiculous. She is supposed to be a trusted servant. She's not;. Is the church going to retire her to a home somewhere. And the other man he needs a little time in the cooler. The poll worker - was just doing her job, getting Obama in the White House, don't you know that? She needs to be locked up for a very long time. She's a poll worker for goodness sakes, or she was. I agree with the individual who said you need to check all poll workers. There probably are some crooks amongst them. Just haven't been caught yet. The poll worker is a disgrace to her family and friends -- they must be so proud to know her.

davmoses - 3/13/2013 12:54 PM - your ignorance is showing again!! The democrats have made it possible in every conceivable way to commit fraud. With near instant registration, Board of Elections allowing voting in the office, liberal absentee voting, if it takes as you claim, 3 hours to vote in Cleveland, well, that is Cayahoga County's problem. They have the resourses to prevent this, they just chose not too. EVERYONE has transportation, all they have to do is to contact the League of Women Voters for access. If a person works all day, they can vote early, they can vote absent. Your examples just cannot hold up. There was a time not that long ago, that people actually made an attempt to vote, people took voting serious, now it is a joke to people such as yourself. STOP MAKING EXCUSES.

Let me start by saying that I don't agree with what any of them did. However, would spending all the money on a "nation wide" check change anything? Probably not. Lets spend that money where it can be of better use. Fireman, policeman, feeding the poor.

The damage has been done. Does not for whom she voted, she voted illegally. She should lose her right to vote. I call upon the volunteer POLL WATCHERS to watch for this zero to try this again.

Where do we get some of these judges? In New York a judge thinks that stealing money out of sombody elses car is OK. Now in Cincinnati we have a judge who thinks that voter fraud is OK.

The fact that she was a Nun.or a Catholic has nothing to do with any of this. Some people just seem to have to show their pathological, bigoted ,obsessive, hatred of Catholics at any oportunity. Voter fraud charges were correctly made by a prosecutor who was doing his job. Voter fraud is the single most dangerous and subversive thing to undermine our whole system. It is a great enemy of democracy. What was the name of this idiot judge who doesnt think it is a big deal? Giving these perps a wink and a nod for sentences is unforgivable. The perps and the judge are undermining our whole system for political gain.
