An 89-year old Warren County man, accused of sexually abusing children in his neighborhood, showed up for his first court hearing on Friday and faced the judge with the help of a walker.

A grand jury indicted Raymond Terrill earlier this month on several charges - including rape and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.  Police say Terrill assaulted children who lived in his neighborhood in Franklin. The alleged assaults happened between January of 2009 and February of this year. The three victims are under the age of 13.

Today, he was allowed to remain out of jail on the promise that he will return to court. He faces more than 29 years in prison if he's convicted.

Our partners at the Hamilton Journal News say Terrill is accused of fondling some of the victims and of paying some of them for sex.

I was on a jury where Mom's Boyfriend and his buddy were raping the 6 yr daughter,One of them gave her genital herpes. They had to serve 80% of their sentence before parole. We calculated their age plus enough years to keep them in prison until both would not be eligible for parole until each was 80 years old. I guess they never get too old,IF he is guilty.

I see the court of public opinion has already convicted this man of "alleged" crimes without any evidence beyond an indictment...!?!?! (So much for 'innocent until proven guilty')...Personally something seems amiss in this story.....I will wait for further evidence to surface.

If he's guilty, someone in this poor of health should be allowed house arrest.

Gross old bas**rd. He gets no sympathy from me, walker or no walker. He needs to PAY for what he's done. If he is guilty, lock him up for the rest of his life.
