CONTEST NAME Trex Deck Giveaway from McCabe Lumber WHO CAN ENTER 1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be Ohio, Kentucky or Indiana residents who are 18 years of age or older, the property owner and resident of the single family dwelling that is entered into the contest, such property does not have any pre-existing deck, and reside in the WKRC-TV viewing area. 2. Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Media III, Inc., and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast station WKRC-TV (the “Station”), WSTR, McCabe Lumber, Trex, Decks N More, their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. HOW TO ENTER (a) No purchase is necessary to enter. Only one entry per household. (b) To enter, log onto www.local12.com/homeworx to complete the online entry form with your name, address, phone, age, submit a photo along with a brief explanation as to why there is a need to increase your backyard’s appeal with a new deck. No mechanically reproduced or completed entries will be accepted. Picture must be in one of the following formats: jpg, gif, tiff, or bmp and up to 9MB in size. By entering, entrants represent and warrant (i) that they own the picture submitted, (ii) it does not violate the rights of any third parties, (iii) the picture has not been altered or enhanced with any software (excluding redeye), and (iv) that they agree to the terms and conditions located at http://www.local12.com/content/stationlegal/default.aspx No lewd, nude, crude, or offensive photographs (as determined by the Station in its sole and absolute discretion) will be accepted. The Station reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to disqualify any entry. (c) The contest starts on March 1, 2013, and all entries must be received by Station by 8:30 a.m. EST on April 14, 2013. Station is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries, server unavailability, computer or any other electronic malfunction. (d) Each entry will be judged and scored by a panel of five (5) judges comprised of Station personnel based on the following criterion: 50% design impact – the degree or extent of improvement that can be achieved “dollar for dollar” invested in the design plan, 50% need – based on the degree to increase backyard appeal and desire to improve the overall backyard appearance. (e) All entries (including pictures) received that are incomplete, mutilated, tampered with, incorrect, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries (including pictures) become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned. PRIZE INFORMATION 1. One (1) winner will be selected. The winner will receive a new deck up to 280 square feet, comprised of the following: Trex decking and railing (color chosen by winner from McCabe Lumber stock), Trex new elevation steel framing, and labor provided by Decks N More. The prize is for a new deck only. The prize is valued at $12,000. Winner is responsible for obtaining any and all permits required. The prize is provided “as is” without any express or implied warranty of any kind including warranties of merchantability, non-infringement or intellectual property, or fitness for any particular purpose. As a condition of winning, winner must allow the Station access to their backyard to shoot the progress throughout makeover process to feature on Station. Winner and the Station will mutually agree upon date and time to interview winner in their backyard throughout the makeover. Winner cannot select a specific installation date. The Station reserves the right to change the installation date at any time. Inclement weather, breaking news or acts of nature beyond our control may force cancellation or postponement of the installation, and will be solely at the discretion of the Station. If there is an existing deck at the winner’s property, then the winner will be disqualified. 2. Winner will be notified by phone and/or e-mail. Before claiming prize, winner must provide their correct name, address and telephone number to Station at the time of notification. Winner must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within five (5) days of notification at the time winner(s) claim his/her prize in person at the Station. Winner must show picture identification to claim prizes. Station reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Station. The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed. 5. Each winner is responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules. Winner must sign a W-9 form. 6. Contestants are eligible to win only one prize within any thirty (30) day period, regardless of the number of contests entered. 7.
