The Host (2008)
Drawing on a full spectrum of musical influences, The Host's overall sound lies around the edges of bands like Muse, Failure and The Mars Volta. Their unique style and unusual songwriting methods offer a more stream-of-conscious feel that stretches beyond the boundaries of modern Alternative Rock. Exotic verses and powerful choruses are supported by a solid framework of hooks that sink in and don't let go.

The Cincinnati-based foursome gained increased exposure in 2008 with the release of a new EP, "Transmit", multiple dates on the national Vans Warped Tour, 2 nominations (Best Hard Rock Band and Best Live Act) at the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards, a selection to perform at the MidPoint Music Festival.

THE HOST garnered the attention of several producers over the course of their Winter writing break, and narrowed it down to one: Dave Jerden. In the early 90's Dave's work sold millions and helped launch the careers of bands like Alice In Chains and Jane's Addiction. He has since worked with a number of high-profile bands such as The Offspring and Social Distortion.

With Dave Jerden and Mad Dog Studios on board to record their newest material, THE HOST has high hopes of stepping from the regional music scene to the national stage and beyond.
