CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, announced this afternoon they have signed forward Mark O’Leary.

O’Leary, 24, is in his fourth professional season and spent last year between Reading, Trenton and Phoenix, playing in 54 games and netting ten goals and nine assists for 19 points and 58 penalty minutes.  Mark appeared in two games with Johnstown this season.

The five-foot-ten, 195 pound native of Owen Sound, ON, played three seasons of hockey in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) between Mississauga and Guelph.  O’Leary played in 182 OHL games and had 18 goals and 33 assists for 51 points and 242 penalty minutes.  His pro career began in the Central Hockey League with Rio Grande and Mark has also had a stint in the American Hockey League with Grand Rapids (2007-08).

In other Cyclones news, second-year forward Chris Mueller has been recalled by the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL).  He becomes the fourth Cincinnati player to earn an AHL promotion this season and is the third player from the opening night roster to currently be playing at hockey’s AAA level (Hans Benson and Jason Jozsa are the others currently there—Kevin Roeder was elevated earlier in the year and has since been returned).

The Cyclones square off with the Wheeling Nailers tonight at 7:30pm from WesBanco Arena.  The contest can be heard on the internet at www.cycloneshockey.com.
