CINCINNATI , Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that forward Jonathan Hazen and defenseman Josh McFadden have been assigned to the club by the San Antonio Rampage (AHL). In addition, Cyclones defenseman Brian O’Hanley has been recalled to San Antonio.

Hazen, a 24-year-old Val-Belair, Quebec native, is entering his second season as a professional. In 2011-12, he finished his rookie campaign with 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists) in 46 games for the Cyclones to go along with 28 penalty minutes. He also logged eight games with the Rampage (AHL) and contributed one goal. Prior to going pro, Hazen spent four seasons in the QMJHL with Val d’Or Foreurs where he amassed 227 points (106 goals, 121 assists) in 242 career amateur contests.

McFadden, a 21-year-old defenseman, is kicking off his first pro season after a four-year amateur career in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). A season ago, the Guelph, Ontario native finished fifth on the Sudbury Wolves and led team defensemen with 41 points (15 goals, 26 assists) in 47 games. In 2010-11, McFadden posted a career-high 72 points (19 goals, 53 assists) in 67 games with the Wolves, which paced the club.

O’Hanley, who had a three-point night this past Saturday for Cincinnati, is tied for the team lead in points (4). He has 63 games of AHL experience, however this will be his first trip to San Antonio.

Both players are expected to be in the lineup on Friday night when the Cyclones open a weekend series against the Elmira Jackals at First Arena. Both contests are set to begin at 7:05pm. Fans can hear all the action of the games on the Cyclones Radio Network (CyclonesHockey.com / America One) beginning at 6:45pm.

The Cyclones will return to the ice at U.S. Bank Arena on Wednesday, October 31st as they welcome in the Kalamazoo Wings to U.S. Bank Arena for the first time this season.
