U.S. 50 in Greendale, Indiana has reopened after a traffic accident.
A car slid underneath a tractor trailer early Monday morning around 4:50 a.m. Traffic was shut down in both directions for a short time.
Traffic reopened in the westbound lanes around 6:10 a.m. near the Jeff Wyler car dealership. Officials say the semi-truck was backing up after making a delivery when the car ended up underneath the trailer.
It took crews about 15 minutes to free the male driver, who was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in a medical helicopter. The extent of his injuries are not known. The man's name has not been released.
