The man named as a person of interest in the death of a 15 year old Fairfield teen now faces new charges.  Police say 24 year old George Davis II offered Chelsea Johnson heroin in exchange for sex on April 15th, the day she disappeared.

Johnson's body was found near a creek by the Heritage Glen apartments between River Road and Pleasant Avenue the next day.   She'd been stabbed to death.

Davis was indicted by a Grand Jury today on three charges-trafficking in heroin, importuning, and compelling prostitution.

Davis was arrested in early June and has been housed in the Butler County Jail. He is considered a person of interest in Johnson's death.

Police said they connected Davis to Johnson through a series of text messages that were exchanged between the two on the day she was killed.

Local 12's Larry Davis is in Fairfield. He will have an update later today on Local 12 News.

The only possible people beneath him are the ones who would defend him. Animals.

As a matter of fact... he didn't do nothing and they do not have strong evidence they have doctored phone records... how dare u talk about a trial or a man u no nothing about! Are u a lawyer? Are you anywhere near his case no! Its funny because you all judge a man that u never met before u jus listen to whatever the media says. This man should be nominated for bear food. Then drop the bear's deuce in a hole and put his name on top. Nice, neat, environmentally friendly.

24 days now, he's been in custody for over a month--and still nothing. I sure hope FFPD knows what they are doing.

The guy did it. Couldn't stand rejection so he took her life. Sad.

Warpath, you're absolutely right. Whether the drugs were self-inflicted or inflicted by her assailant, either way...it was pubically stated that a needle was found at the time, and that the fact that now they are saying that drugs were somehow involved (either by her choice or someone elses), is not news. To lose any young person is tragic - please don't put words in my mouth or condem me for voicing that which has already been stated by someone directly related.

Glad they have some strong evidence and a suspect in custody. I wonder if something similar happened to 17 -year-old Paige Johnson. I wonder if Paige Johnson was lured with drugs and/or alcohol. The last person Paige Johnson was known to be with, was a drug addict that allegedly provided Paige Johnson with alcohol and allegedly dealt drugs.
