I'm so glad to hear this officer is going home, but the article doesn't actually reveal how he's doing. Will he be able to go back to work as a Trooper? I hope he will. Best wishes!

Puss In Boots, if the boy was stoned at the time, I'd bet the troopers would have picked up on it. They may have been busy focusing their attention on the other trooper, but I'm sure they would be able to detect a problem with the boy during their interview with him. Those troopers don't mess around.

@tcates; The 2d to last paragraph in this report tells about the guy who crashed into the officer as he was investigating the crash of the 2 girls..Wasn't very well emphasized or written, but what else is new????

A friend of mine told me he personally knows the kid that hit the officer and said he is known to do drugs often.He was probably stoned at the time but they didn't pick up on it.That is terrible because he will be released and could run down someone else.They should drug test the boy to be sure. I Hope the patrolman gets well soon.
