"That's when investigators said the suspect, whose name has not been released, attempted to run down an officer. The officer fired his gun in self defense. The suspect fled. The suspect was picked up about a mile down the road in Clinton County on Townsend Road." That's a genuine hillbilly car chase!

I am sure he is very much aware of the dangers of traffic stops, its one of the things he does for a living. There is a saying in the police world, "there is no routine traffic stop".

A California Hwy Patrol Officer was shot & killed over a traffic stop yesterday. That Officer probably had no clue to the danger as most traffic stops are more "routine". But it takes just a second for any situation to become deadly & our Police should be thanked & a "good job" for trying to keep us safe. Prayers for CHP Officer Kenyon Youngstrom's family & friends. Rest in Peace Officer Youngstrom.
