Test results in today from Georgia show a body found there in a pauper's grave is not that of a Miami University student who disappeared more than 50 years ago.
Officials exhumed the body from a Walker County, Georgia cemetery in February.
Officials had hoped it would turn out to be that of Ron Tammen. He was 19 years old when he disappeared from his dorm in 1953. The person in the grave was found shortly after Tammen's disappearance.
Local 12 traveled to Georgie for the exhumation with Tammen's sister, who provided a DNA sample to authorities to help with the match.
But today officials say the body is not that of Tammen's.
