After spending two nights in jail, Chris Henry is now home. The now former Cincinnati Bengal posted bond after his court appearance yesterday but had to wait until business hours began today to be fitted with an ankle monitoring system.

Police want to make sure Henry does not go near the University of Cincinnati student he is accused of punching. Henry pleaded not guilty yesterday to charges of assault and criminal damaging.

Police say Henry smashed Gregory Meyer's car window with a bottle, then punched the 18-year-old in the head.

Investigators say Meyer did not know the name of the person who allegedly attacked him, but identified Henry from two different lineups.

Henry was taken from the jail to a special office to be fitted with the bracelet just before 10.  He was then released from custody.

i would rather have a losing team with some integrity, than a winning team full of a bunch of punk thugs.

Sad? I don't think so. Listen im caucassion and I believe that the league is being a little on the racist saide. He hasn't even been proved guilty yet. What if he isn't guilty? All you people going to come on here and talk to your little buddies about how good he is and how your just so glad he is a bengal. He should be back on the roster til further notice. He is only human, it may not even be him in this case.

FiteNS: I also enjoyed watching Chris bring magic to the football and those perfect legs run into the end zone! But I think Chris needs to respect and support himself before he can ever expect to regain it in the future from pea-ons like us (well, me). However, with the Bengals cutting him loose, I seem to think he will be banned from the NFL based solely on his criminal records, which includes guilty pleads. Commissioner Goodell's "no tolerance" rule means just that. One would think at 24 years old and having given up 8 games last season without pay because of his criminal records, he would have learned a great deal. Maybe he needs to research his life and like one great Ray Lewis, choose new friends, not "hangers-on" that seem to have trouble following them wherever they go in the USA. It is a sad day for Cincinnati Bengals fans and that includes me.
