Officials in Fort Wright managed to dismantle a bomb found inside a postal box this morning.

EMA official Bill Dorsey tells Local 12 a postal worker picking up mail spotted the suspicious package around 11 this morning in the 1800 block of Dixie Highway.   Police evacuated a Speedway gas station and the Fort Wright Executive building.

The Cincinnati Bomb Squad was able to disable the homemade device without detonating it.  The gas station is now reopened and workers are back in the office building.

Officials are now investigating to determine how the bomb got inside the mailbox.
