Emergency crews were called to the scene of a fatal accident in Clermont County on Tuesday morning.

It happened just before 7 a.m. Tuesday on Westbound State Route 32 at Old State Route 74 in Union Township near the Batavia Township line.

Union Township Police say 37 year old Michael Snodgrass of Blanchester ran into the back of a box truck that was stopped for traffic. Snodgrass died instantly.

Drugs or alcohol are not suspected to be a factor.

The driver of the box truck, 40 year old Russell Dunham of Bethel, was not hurt.

WLWT had a very similar photo, and more, that very clearly showed this tragic accident. Another life lost on hazardous SR32. It's very congested, speeding (it's 55 MPH on this stretch and most are pushing 60 to 65), distracted, and the worst of all, tailgating. My condolences to this man's family and friends.

@vlwhite1313 When dcreis commented, the license plate was visible in the photo. Is that a fact that should be presented before family notification?

What does showing the vehicle have to do with anything? The auto makers get this...make more than one of the same vehicle...Channel 12 is not showing anything they shouldn't...they are presenting the facts. If you don't like the way they present the FACTS watch another channel..there are others to chose from!!!

I have heard people complain on here before wanting Channel 12 to release the names of victims before the family was notified. Sometimes you can't please anyone I suppose.

Channel 12 - why are you showing the truck involved in this tragic accident when the name of the person that died has not been released? As I mentioned in a previous post, this is just not the right thing to do. Why do you need to show the vehicle at all? Seems like sensational journalism/reporting to me. Show some respect & compassion for family members and friends.
