Just one look through his "Weather Window," and LOCAL 12 meteorologist Tim Hedrick gives you a different view on our local forecast. Tim Hedrick is Chief Meteorologist for LOCAL 12. He charts his interest in weather back to his childhood town of Homewood, IL. While attending Iowa State University, Tim majored in both meteorology and speech, because he says, "I wanted to know what I was talking about."
Tim began his career in television news as an intern at KWWL-TV in Waterloo, Iowa. Soon after graduation, he got his first job at KOAM-TV in Joplin, Missouri. Later, Tim moved to work as meteorologist at WHO-TV in Des Moines, Iowa before joining the LOCAL 12 Team in 1988.
