Tiffany Wilson joined the Local 12 WKRC team in September, 2010. After living, working and traveling around the country, she is thrilled to return to her hometown.
A graduate of Ursuline Academy, Tiffany fell in love with reporting at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Most recently, she worked for WJLA/NewsChannel 8 in Washington, D.C. as a reporter and fill-in anchor. In our nation's capital, Tiffany covered hostage situations, Metro accidents and political rallies. Before moving to the District, Tiffany was the graduate managing editor for Palestra.net, an online college news network. In this role, she lived a never ending road trip. Tiffany traveled across the country in a 15-passenger van and reported on everything from blueberry pie eating contests in Maine (she placed second!) to a haunted prison in West Virginia to the Notre Dame versus Stanford game in California.
Leading up to the 2008 presidential election, she worked as a youth vote correspondent for Fox News Channel and traveled to more than 100 universities to report on college students' political views. Her stories aired on nearly every network show and she anchored some of the first streaming broadcasts of FoxNews.com's "Strategy Room" from the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. While reporting on early voting, she uncovered a trend of out-of-state campaign workers committing voter fraud in Columbus, OH. The story went on to gain national attention. Shortly before Barack Obama's inauguration, Tiffany flew to Africa to report on Mr. Obama's impact on Kenyans. Some of her favorite memories come from her two weeks at an AIDS orphanage in Arusha, Tanzania where she chronicled the lives of HIV-positive children.
During her spare time Tiffany loves to spend time with her extended family, travel – specifically to the Pacific Northwest - and train for her first marathon.
