Jeff Hirsh has been reporting in Cincinnati since November 1979. He joined LOCAL 12 in 1998.
His first reporter job was in Roanoke, Virginia at WDBJ-TV from 1977-79. Jeff Hirsh has three degrees, he earned a History BA from the University of Michigan, an MA in History from Washington University and an MA in Journalism from the University of Missouri.
After more than 20 years of reporting Jeff has been honored with numerous awards. He has 21 regional Emmy awards and 8 Ohio AP awards. Others associations that have honored Jeff include: Education Writers Association, Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association, International Association of Firefighters, and Women In Communication (Clarion Award).
Jeff’s biggest rewards are his wife and two children
