Cammy Dierking began working at LOCAL 12 in 1988 as a Sports anchor and reporter. After enjoying 13 years as co-host of ‘Good Morning Cincinnati’, Cammy now anchors the 5pm, 6pm and 11pm News on Local 12.
Before coming to Local 12, Cammy worked at Sports Time Cable Network in Cincinnati; WPTF-TV28 (NBC) in Raleigh, North Carolina; and KTVN-TV2 (CBS) in Reno, Nevada.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Cammy graduated from Sycamore High School in 1978 and Miami University in Oxford in 1982, where she received a B.A. in English/Journalism.
Cammy does quite a bit of motivational speaking, and is a 2008 National Keynote Speaker for ‘Speaking of Women’s Health’.
Cammy serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Women’s Sports Association (In 1993, she helped establish this group, which recognizes and promotes opportunities for female athletes).
Cammy is the Honorary Chair and Spokesperson for many local charity events including: Race for the Cure, Heart Mini-Marathon, Arthritis Walk, Ride Cincinnati for Breast Cancer Research, 7 Days for SIDS Golf Outing, One World Triathlon for Neediest Kids of All, Tour de Montgomery for HeartStone Foundation, MS Bike Ride, Lady Distance Classic for Ovarian Cancer, JDRF Ride to Cure, Hike for Hospice and Thanksgiving Day Race for the Ronald McDonald House.
Cammy has completed 10 marathons and numerous century bicycle rides (100 miles) and triathlons. In August 2007, she completed an IRONMAN Triathlon in Louisville (2.4 mile swim; 112 mile bike; 26.2 mile run). She also enjoys golf and does some acting with Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati. Cammy lives in Deerfield Township with her husband and 3 teenage daughters.
