Brad grew up in the Chicago suburb of Glen Ellyn, IL. He knew he wanted to get into broadcasting by the time he was in third grade. He completed his undergraduate work in 1984 at Bradley University with a double major in Speech Communications and Broadcast Journalism, and a minor in theater. In his senior year at Bradley, Brad was named the number one speaker in the country, and was also a member of the number one speech team in the country. In his broadcast career, he has won more than 50 journalism awards, including 14 Emmys.
Brad has worked in Peoria, IL; Lansing, MI; San Luis Obispo, CA; Las Vegas, NV; and now in Cincinnati since 1992. He became LOCAL 12 Sports Director in June of 1996. Brad has been the radio play-by-play announcer for the Bengals since the 2000 season. Currently, he’s the TV play-by-play voice for Xavier Basketball on Fox Sports Net. He has also done play-by-play for both University of Cincinnati and Miami basketball.
Brad married wife Colleen in December 1998. He is the father of three sons and a daughter.
